Where to See the Blue Angels During Fleet Week

October in the Bay Area means Fleet Week and the booming sounds of the longest-running flight demonstration squadron in the country, The Blue Angels. The big question every year remains unchanged — what’s the best place to watch it all? Here are some of the top spots to take in the action of the Blue Angels taking place from October 11–13.

Crissy Field

It may seem obvious — and you’ll have to arrive early as it’s so popular — but a spot here guarantees the Blue Angels and more exciting aircraft flying directly overhead (if you’re into that kind of thing!).

Marin Headlands

No need to cross the bridge! Experience incredible sights, smaller crowds and the sounds of the Blue Angels from popular spots on Slacker Hill and Battery Spencer.

Pier 39

Far enough east of the air show that you’ll be able to see most of the Blue Angel flying formations, PIER 39 has the added benefit of dozens of dining options steps away.

Six fighter jets, likely The Blue Angels, fly in a tight formation over a large body of water. In the background, a hilly landmass and an island with a notable building, which may be Alcatraz Island, are visible. The jets leave white trails of smoke against a clear blue sky.
