Inn at Schoolhouse Creek
At this inn, there are different lodging accommodations suitable for different guests and circumstances — including larger groups. There are multiple cottages that can accommodate up to six guests, depending on which. Cottages come with full kitchens, living spaces, bathrooms and potentially even perks like a private hot tub or deck.
HIGHLIGHT:
If one of your group members is a pet, know that they’ll be just as comfortable as you — get the inn’s Pet Package that includes a bed, bowls, towels, waste bags and even a treat to greet.
Mendocino Grove
If you hear the word ‘camping,’ you might be skeptical that this could mean comfort. But at the Mendocino Grove, camping is turned into a modern experience that is, in fact, very comfortable and allows every member of your group to have their own space while still being in close proximity. Some tents sleep up to six people and all have beds. For groups ranging from 20-160 people, fill out their group booking online form.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Glamping just got an upgrade; as if the comfy beds weren’t enough, enjoy their lavish bathhouse, complimentary barbecue use and even the camp spa for a massage or sauna trip.
The Inn at Newport Ranch
While this is certainly a pricier option, The Inn at Newport Ranch is one of Mendocino’s best options for large groups. Of their lodging choices, two are best for this: the Ranch House is a fully furnished house with multiple beds and couches, and Sea Drum can host up to 10 guests.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Take advantage of the provided binoculars to look for whales or birds, play some lawn games with your friends or family or soak in the Ranch’s hot tub, to name just a couple of amenities.
