Timber Cove Resort

With stunning views of the Sonoma Coast and architectural grandeur, a stay at Timber Cove is more than just a stay — it’s an experience. Among their many onsite amenities, find yourself in the outdoor living room to play ping pong or pool, or even to sip a glass of wine and chat with your friends in front of the outdoor fire pit. The rooms themselves are equally as charming; all guest rooms come with a record player and selection of records if you want to elevate the ambience, as well as yoga mats, a coffee and tea setup and comfortable beds that will have you sleeping like a baby. Enjoy a meal at their onsite restaurant, Coast Kitchen, for what they call “a coastal wine country concept.”

The local beach is located right next to the resort for easy beach access. There are also over two miles of hiking trail on the Timber Cove Resort property, right along the coast and with benches along the way to help you look for whales.

Farmhouse Inn

This gem of a hotel hasn’t always been around; two siblings discovered it years ago and have since renovated it to become a luxurious haven that also honors many local artisans. Room types include barn suites, cottages and farmhouse rooms, of which are the smallest accommodations of the three. All are cozy and well-equipped to ensure a relaxing stay, and there is also a restaurant, courtyard, pool and spa onsite.

River's End

Atop a bluff overlooking the Russian River, River’s End offers a luxurious experience that’s perfect for a romantic getaway. There are five vintage cabins and three options in their home collection; most accommodate only two guests, but for their Sunset House that can accommodate six guests. Make reservations at their onsite waterfront restaurant, after spending a day at the nearby day spa or wine tasting at a winery.

HIGHLIGHT:

All of the vintage cabins have a private deck with ocean views — take advantage of them to enjoy your coffee in the morning, or to read a book and soak up the sun in the afternoon.

Sonoma Coast Villa

Pretend you’re on an Italian getaway while at this Mediterranean-inspired “rustic and comfortably casual,” while still elegant, resort and spa. Book one of their more typical hotel-style rooms if you’re just going with a partner or friend, or opt for their Grand Residence – a private home that can accommodate a much larger group.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Looking for something to do during the day? Try out their onsite 9-hole putting green or variety of lawn games including horseshoe and corn-hole. Or, attend their nightly 8 p.m. movie in the Villa’s courtyard after making some s’mores.
