Waikiki Aquarium

Founded in 1904, the Waikiki Aquarium is the second-oldest operating public aquarium in the United States. Its mission is to “inspire and promote understanding, appreciation, and conversation of Pacific marine life.” The aquarium has recently undergone exhibit revitalizations such as the green sea turtle exhibit.
Kapiolani Park

Kapiolani Park is named for Hawaii’s Queen Kapiolani and was the first public park in the islands. Sitting on the eastern edge of Waikiki just across the street from the beach, the park is perfect for a stroll or activities such as recreational tennis or basketball. Kapiolani Park is also home to the famous Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki aquarium.
