Amidst the festive atmosphere and live music of Main Street Bistro, their kitchen is serving up one mean pie. Their secret is apple juice and craft beer added to their dough, creating a thin pizza crust with the perfect chew and tang, the ideal vehicle for some killer toppings. Go for some of their more unusual combos, like their Lemonata with prosciutto and lemons, or their cheeseburger pizza complete with thousand island dressing drizzled on top.

Look up reviews, and you’ll find stories of folks across the Bay Area driving out of their way just to eat at PizzaLeah, and some even claiming that it’s the best pie around. While that may be subjective, there’s no doubt that PizzaLeah is at the top of the food chain. Try their award-winning Old Grey Beard with Calabrian peppers, hot honey and orange zest, or their hearty Scurto Pie with meatballs and caramelized onions.

The Bay Area is known for its sourdough, and Psychic Pie is serving up sourdough crust pizzas, with a crispy-on-the-bottom char and pillow pockets of air inside. For vegetarians, try their mushroom with citrus zest, shishito and zucchini or potato with dill. They also sell their slices ‘Al Taglio,’ where you pay by weight, deciding how big a slice you want and letting them cut it for you.

These traditional Neapolitan style pizzas are cooked for a speedy 90 seconds in a wood-fired oven, giving the crust a soft chew and charred bubbles. Let the classics shine with their Bianca Divine with fresh brie and garlic confit, and their margherita with Buffalo mozzarella. Or go for their signature pizzas, a departure from the traditional but full of fun flavor combinations like their mushroom and chimichurri pizza, or their fennel sausage and lemon gremolata.

This family-owned restaurant specializes in deep dish, gluten-free pizza, with a selection of local beers and wines that are picked to be a great compliment to any pie. While they do let diners build their own pizza, try one of their house pizzas, like their Thai Chicken topped with green onions and crunchy noodles, or their Cali Veg, a vegetarian option with pesto, tomato and artichoke hearts. Or go all-out and get their Hippizzazz House pizza, which comes with just about every classic topping you can imagine.
