The Tides’ biggest claim to fame is that it served as the backdrop for Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film “The Birds,” but don’t be deceived into thinking that the restaurant is nothing more than a nostalgia trap. Come here for the excellent food, warm service and stunning ocean views. Hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
