This award-winning beachfront property has a prime location in Waikiki near shops and restaurants. The Outrigger is also known for its family-friendly amenities, such as an outdoor pool. Book a room in the Voyager 47 category for access to the excellent amenities of the club lounge, including free breakfast.
Fun fact: the name Outrigger was given because this is the original site of the legendary Outrigger Canoe Club, home to famous watermen like Duke Kahanamoku.

Sheraton Princess Kaʻiulani
Built on the former home of Princess Victoria Kaʻiulani Kalaninuiahilapalapa Kawekiu i Lunalilo Cleghorn (1875–1899), this hotel close to shops and the beach was the tallest building in Hawaii (11 stories) when it opened in 1955. The property recently went through a $35 million renovation and is a haven for mid-century modern Hawaiiana, with artwork and prints from the 1960s sourced from Bishop Museum, plus original artwork featuring Hawaiian royalty that has hung in the hotel since its debut. Take advantage of the amenities included in the resort fee, including a beach chair, beachfront yoga, water aerobics and daily cultural activities.

Formerly the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, this gorgeously renovated beachfront property debuted its new look in early 2021. is ideal for those who want the excitement of Waikiki without the crowds. It’s on Kaimana (Sans Souci) Beach, about 2 miles east of downtown Waikiki, but very walkable to everything. The rooms (many with floor-to-ceiling windows) have stunning views of either Diamond Head (2.7 miles from the hotel) or the ocean, and all have some type of balcony or patio to soak in the vistas. The soaring living room-style lobby with a kaleidoscope of island-inspired artwork also inspires lounging.

The 110 rooms showcase colorful and quirky furnishings, and offer private balconies, mini-fridges, platform beds and plush linens, all for a much lower price than the larger resorts.
