What to Do in
Northern California

Northern California and Southern California have a bit of a yin and yang relationship. Unlike its southern counterpart, the region that’s Big Sur and above is more redwood forests and less palm tree-lined streets, less flip flops and more hiking boots. Beaches are of the colder and rockier variety, but majestic nonetheless — even if they aren’t exactly swimsuit friendly year-round. And from pristine lakes to epic vineyards, urban hikes to world-class museums, there’s no shortage of things to do in Northern California.
