Paw-Some Things to Do with Your Dog

If you’re wondering how to explore Marin with your furry best friend, don’t worry, you’re in luck! Marin County is packed with dog-friendly spots, from beaches and parks to patios and trails.

Dog-Friendly Beaches

Marin has plenty of beaches where dogs can join the fun. Most require leashes but offer incredible scenery and space to run around.

  • Kehoe Beach, Inverness: A quieter, more remote beach that is perfect for peaceful walks. Dogs must be leashed due to nearby wildlife.
  • Limantour Beach, Point Reyes: This one is quite spacious and scenic. Leashed dogs are allowed on the southeast end and can walk with you to Santa Maria Beach. Be sure to follow posted signs.
  • Upton Beach, Stinson Beach: Located at the northern end of Stinson Beach, Upton Beach allows leashed dogs to enjoy the sand and waves. You’ll also find picnic areas by Eskoot Creek where your pup can relax with you after a beach stroll.
