Napa Valley Barrel Weekend

June 2 - 4

Take part in vintner-hosted wine events and experiences, taste wines straight from the barrel, enjoy vineyard walks and talks, food from local restaurants, and a grand celebration to benefit nonprofit partners.

Napa Valley Wine Train

June 2, 16, and 30

Time travel to the 1920s. Come aboard dressed in period garb for the “Death of a Gangster” tour on June 2 and June 30. Wear wedding attire for “‘Til Death Do Us Part” on June 16. Staged by the Murder Mystery Co.

Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic

June 4 - June 5

You have to roll out of bed early, but one glimpse at the sky filled with colorful balloons and you’ll be thrilled you set your alarm. Along with tethered balloon rides, there will be food booths, crafts and kids play areas.

Huichica Music Festival

June 10 - June 11

The annual two-day music, wine, and culinary festival takes place at California’s oldest family-owned winery, Gundlach Bundschu. Every year, a portion of proceeds from Huichica Music Festival benefit The Sonoma Valley Education Foundation.

City of Napa Celebrates 175 Years

June 11

A 300-person dinner table will stretch through downtown Napa (on First Street from Randolph to Coombs Street) to mark the big anniversary. Menu items from some of the city’s most popular restaurants — think Cole’s Chop House, Kitchen Door and Zuzu — will be served. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go to support the Napa Food Bank.

Redwood Experience at Jack London State Historic Park

June 11

The moderately paced four-mile hike travels to the park’s only ancient redwood, the 2,000-year-old giant of Sonoma Mountain affectionately known as “the Grandmother Tree.” The experience includes a guided redwood meditation session.

Yountville Music in the Park

June 12 and Select Dates through August 28

Why cook when you can enjoy a summer evening in Yountville’s Veterans Memorial Park listening to great music with friends and family. A food truck will be on hand each evening serving everything from barbecue and Mexican, to sushi.

Sturgeon’s Mill Demonstration Days

This little known, more than a century old mill in Sebastopol is open to the public only a handful of weekends every year. A working museum, volunteers hold demonstrations at the steam powered sawmill.

Love Wins in Windsor
