Jack London State Historic Park Tenth Annual First Day Hike

January 1st

Welcome 2023 with a roundtrip, eight-mile hike to the summit of Jack London park. Considered moderately strenuous, guides will be available to help hikers return to the parking lot at any time, so all fitness levels are encouraged to participate. Reservations are required; meet in the Ranch parking lot, to the right of the park’s entrance kiosk. (Rains cancels the hike.)

New Year's Day Bubbles, Dim Sum & Tarot Card Readings

January 1st

Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit with bubbles, dim sum, and tarot card readings at Breathless Wines in Healdsburg.

Happy Tissues Pop-Up at Third Pig Bar

January 6th

The pop-up created by admired mixologist Danny Ojinaga will be at Sebastopol’s new craft cocktail spot Third Pig Bar pouring alcohol-free and low ABV (alcohol by volume) beverages. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Forget Me Not Farm, a non-profit that provides assistance to at-risk children and animals.

Bird & Nature Walk

January 14th (And once a month every following month through June.)

Lead by docents from the Petaluma Wetlands Alliance, you could see egrets, herons, shorebirds, and more at Shollenberger Park.

January 14th – 15th

70 wineries (You read that correctly. 70 wineries!) are taking part in this annual weekend of wine tasting in Sonoma County. Tickets must be purchased in advance; no groups larger than six people.

Chowder Day

January 28th

Armed with a map, ticket holders get to explore Bodega Bay one taste of clam chowder at a time. Tastings will take place at 10am and noon.
