Silicon Valley has more than its fair share of five-star hotels with fine dining restaurants offering private spaces for events from board meetings to weddings. Consider these for your next special occasion and work with the in-house events team to make it memorable.

Menlo Park

Think gorgeous views and a wood-burning hearth. A Silicon Valley centerpiece near Stanford University, this luxury hotel is a popular urban retreat set on 16 acres. Madera, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, has two private dining rooms for smaller groups, both of which open to outdoor terraces. There’s also an outdoor function space set amongst the landscaped lawns and terraces that can be arranged for private dining al fresco.

East Palo Alto

Quattro is the rustic Italian-themed restaurant at this five-star hotel that’s conveniently located for downtown Palo Alto and the Stanford University campus. Gatherings of up to 20 guests can be accommodated for an intimate dining experience in Quattro’s private dining room. Extra touches include custom floral arrangements, wine tastings, customized print menus for the special occasion, and a visit by the Executive Chef during dinner. Additional rooms also available for private dining: Accelorator, Generation, and the Presidential Suite.

Menlo Park

Walking distance from downtown Palo Alto, Stanford University and Stanford Shopping Center, The Stanford Park Hotel has 162 guest rooms and 5,000 square feet of meetings and event space. The in-house restaurant, Menlo Tavern, features a menu of California classics and spirits. Arrange something social in the Stanford Room on the ground floor, with a separate entrance and patio, where round tables can seat 60. Natural light floods the room in which a wall-sized mural depicts the Quad and Memorial Church, landmarks on the university’s campus. Supplement private dining with gatherings in the additional event spaces: Toyon Room and Wine Room for indoors and Pergola, The Patio and Fire Pits for outdoors.

Woodside

Now into its 20th year, the Michelin-starred destination restaurant with a French bistro vibe is a draw for its notable cuisine and wine list. Three private dining rooms and an outdoor veranda make The Village Pub the perfect settings for any intimate event, from a relaxed weekend brunch to an elegant cocktail reception to a formal, sit-down dinner. One private dining room seats up to 12 and another seats up to 24. The rooms can be combined for seating for 48 guests. Add on the option of the front veranda and accommodate up to 55. A prix-fixe menu is required for all private dining. An events team is on hand to assist.

Saratoga

Come for the wine list, stay for the food. In pretty historic Main Street running through Saratoga, The Plumed Horse has received accolades for its wine cellar from Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Michelin, and more.  From board meeting to wedding, several private dining areas can handle 10 to 200 guests. The Chef’s Table seating 12 has floor-to-ceiling windows to see the kitchen in action. The Library is a handsome space for 12 guests. The Rose Room can seat 28 at a single table and the Gold Room has a single table for 20.
